cool fish pics

there is a fellow out here that takes some cool fish photos and displays them at a local shop and in vineyard art shows. Some of them are really quite amazing. He sent me these jpegs a few months back. His name is Ben McCormick. I wanted to share them with you.

The actual photos are high res and very slick. I spoke to him in August on how he gets them. It is pretty much by chance...he submerges his high speed camera during a blitz near the boat, turns it on and hopes for the best...he says he has a lot of spent film.. When I asked how I could buy them he sent me a email with these jpegs (this past sept)
He sells everything as 8x10 prints matted in 11x14 frames. For $95. I don't think he has a web site yet. I went to coops where he has some of them on display... its really quite amazing what he has captured. If you are interested...PM me I will fwd you his email. I don't know him and I get nothing out of this but I thought that some of you guys might be interested in this kind of art.
I'm honestly not trying to promote him but these are rare photos IMO. He has taken others as well.

If you blow up the bass near the beach chasing herring it is really nice. The full res is outstanding. That is when they open up great pond to the ocean... I heard it is an amazing event that lasts for days on end....I can't wait. I was hoping they would open in last fall but no luck . Don't be offended if I don't post when the open it.

Fantastic images/art work. Not sure on the bass/squid shot being live or being photo retouched in Adobe Photoshop -- either way it's still a great image.

Mr. Sandman,

How do you get the hi-res photo of that Stirper busting herring. That is awesome!. When I save it, it only saves as a 56KB file - and am not seeing the hi-res.

Dave
