$1.89 in Newport today - $3 by May is probably right, if we're lucky.

I just bought a new mountain bike last summer - work and fishing all within less than 2 miles -

I've got nothin' against putting a rod rack on the bike either...

**** 'em. If they come up with an alternate source of energy, the Saudi's can go back to herding camels for a living.

And their boy W is out the door now, brotha -

I don't think Obama is gonna run interference for them like his predecessor did.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

I think it will be north of 3 this summer. I dont think it will hit has high as last year because of the drop in demand. Wouldnt be too shocked if it tipped over 5, but dont think it will happen this year. I heard about the .50 gas tax here in mass. I will break even if they use the tax to abolish the tolls. At least on the commute to work, now fishing trips are a different story. If anyone believes they are going to ax the tolls, i have a tunnel under the canal id love to sell.

Everything is better on the rocks.

demand had little to do with the price spike last summer... since demand did not increase 200-300% like the price did... there's so much more at work here...

Diesels been 245-249 for months

the lowest gas I can find is 169

I think 3 for regular gas and 4 for diesel by M-day not including our esteemed reps adding another 50 cents onto it without getting rid of the masspike tolls

Im thinking $3/gallon by Memorial Day. Anyone notice less traffic when gas was 4+ a gallon?

I noticed that the rush hour traffic into and out of boston seemed much better, relatively. Seemed as though the big bulk of stop-n-go traffic didn't start as early and didn't run as late.

They know now they can wring $4 out of us . Polititions are drueling at the thought of more gas taxes .. Somebodys gonna stick it to us ,, We just don't know who yet .. I think the high prices stifled the economy and it would be a big mistake to go back there .

I'd predict that gas itself, on land, will be around 2.25, but the politicos are eyeing more gas taxes which would come on top of that.

It'll be over $2 a gallon by President's Day, if not before. I filled up at $1.51 on New Year's day and it's gone up over 30 cents a gallon in less than 3 weeks--when the price of crude has actually gone down

$3 by Memorial Day? If we're lucky.
