Herring poaching at squid spots

To the people telling everyone to call DEM on the "poachers" taking herring, maybe make sure you know what kind of herring they are catching before calling the dem or confronting people. Ive had several people approach me as if i was poaching herring. These are atlantic herring. The ban is on river herring (blue backs and alewifes), these have saw bellys, a black dot behind the gills and also there dorsal fin is more torwards the front of the fish. Atlantic herring have no black dot behind the gills and have the dorsal fin more torwards the back of the fish.
