Red Hot Buzzards Bay

Well we changed it up today and decided to take the kids out bottom fishing. We left the dock at 6 a.m. and headed out to an area near Cleveland Ledge. We anchored only once and when the chum bag finally started working it was lights out on some monster scup and seabass. We took our 50 fish limit with a couple over the 2 lb mark, easily boated over 150 scup in a few hours.

When we hit our limit of scup, we cleaned up the mess and started looking for some bass/blues. Well as luck played out we hit the mother load of fish surface feeding with no other boats around for a few hours. We took blues on almost every cast and managed to take 4 nice bass out of the frenzy.

What a day on the water, my son Dylan is going to be talking about this day for weeks to come.

Awesome report. Glad to see your boat is actually being used this year. Dylan is one lucky kid. The next generation is hooked for life which is a good thing.
