We pulled 9 off my girlfriend's dog yesterday, and her mum had another 2 on her.

I got about 4 hours sleep last night, kept waking up feeling itchy.

I was going to say something funny but I'm going to pass

That being said, I've been feeling the same thing. The slightest itch and I think a tick is on me. It's near paranoia.

Just working in the yard this weekend I flicked 3 deer ticks off.

Same here--those were dog ticks.

But we took about 6 deer ticks off one of my dogs yesterday.

They're so bad that I wheeled my lawnmower from the shed to the front yard yesterday (I cut the back yard Friday night), and when I went to press the primer bulb, I saw a dog tick crawling across the deck

I hope the bass have as banner a year as the ticks seem to be having

Spray some daizinon or Seven in the backyard. Thats a deterent to ticks. They are bad though this without question. I can't get the pup to stand still for a tick inspection, so when I am patting is when I try checking all over.

Unfortunately, the dog picks them up as she runs in the woods lining the national seashore in Truro.

Nothing can be done aside from checking her a few times a day and when she comes into the house.

Well, we got the bad news from the vet on Thursday--both of our dogs tested positive for Lyme

Now they're on doxycycline.

We got a little careless with keeping up with their Frontline over the winter, and that was all it took.

It'll be a freaking miracle if me or the wife makes it though the spring/summer without getting it.
