The Other Cape

Fishing along the rocky shores of Cape Ann produce some of the best and biggest striped bass along the East coast. This prized fish leave the Chessapeake Bay area and the majority of these sought after game fish spend May - September here in Massachusetts Bay and Ipswich Bay. The smallest fish was 38 inches and the largest 45 inches. We had caught ten fish in about three hours of fishing and the four of us kept one fish apiece and released six. All the striped bass were caught using mackerel
