Another seal
A buddy of mine hooked a bluefish. There was a seal between him and the fish. The seal eat the bluefish and the battle was on. Eventually the line parted at the knot.
I am thinking of trying to land one of these things. Hooking a live bluefish to a stand up tuna set up and live lining it from the beach.
There are enough of them around to make it a sport-fish IMO. I will release it once beached but I want the satisfaction of winning the battle.
game on! Lets see if he can strip a 50 wide.

That'd be cool to watch. I won't ask you to videotape it in case the greenies get a hold of it :-P

I've been saying this for a while now. Live lining bluefish for seals. Instead of cooler racks on the front of a truck, you fabricate a fighting chair.

I've battled seals on a couple of occasions, they are tough bastiges, that ended up winning. Snapped a rod fighting one, one time, the others just broke off after a while. I'm certain when they arrived back at the haul out rock, their mouths weren't functioning properly.

I was toying with the idea of live lining a bluefish with a handline when nobody was looking. A giant tuna type setup attached to a nice Danforth 8 or 12S. I bet you could get the seal to jump!

Brilliant, except at the rate you're going it would take you all fall to catch the bluefish.
