Which clubs are doing Beach Cleanups, When and Where? Lets get the word out a bit. Please add a note to this list.

Cleanup contest: Dangle a little carrot.

For all of those doing beach cleanups on next weekend, state on this thread where you are going (area, no need for specific location) and for what club. On the following week, confirm you did a cleanup (minimum of two hours) we will draw 2 winners for some plugs. And for the clubs still doing multiple cleanups after the 18th, we'll have an extra drawing for them.Any club, any locations. No purchase other than sweatequity needed.

• Madison beach cleanup West Wharf Rd.. April 18, 9:00am. Club furnishes bags. Bring gloves and rake forks. Possible May cleanup at Harkness Memorial Park. Details to follow

RISAA

• Plan to attend RISAA’s Annual Beach Clean-up Day - Saturday, April 18, 2009
• We will meet at these Greenwich Bay Locations - 9:00 a.m.-Rain or Shine:
• Chepiwanoxet Point Park-Warwick - Follow Post Road (between Cowesett and Division) to the light at Chepiwanoxet. Follow Chepiwanoxet to Oak Grove. Right on Oak Grove to Alger. Left on Alger to the Park parking lot at the end of Alger. Paul Karcz will lead this group. Email Paul at pkarcz@cox.net
  
• Goddard State Park Fishing Area & Boat Launch-Potowomut. Located on the West Side of the State Park along Greenwich Cove.
  Follow Ives Road to the First Park Entrance just after the Equestrian area. Turn in, stay to the left, and follow the Park road down to the Fishing Area parking Lot. David Pollack will lead this group. Email Dave at Dpollipo@cox.net with questions.
  
• REFRESHMENTS AND TRASH BAGS WILL BE PROVIDED! Bring gloves and dress appropriately for the conditions. We have scheduled our Clean-up at Low Tide so we can get to more debris. Might be Muddy! Show That You Care About Our Shoreline

Gansett Surfcasters, in conjunction with Narragansett Pier: April 25th.

• Meet at 9am at Maridee Bait and Tackle in Narragansett. The plan is to work until noon and then return to Maridees for a cookout.

Newport

• Newport County Salt Water Fishing Club Aquidneck Island/Newport shoreline clean-up on Saturday April 18th - 9am-12 noon. Meeting at Salt Water Edge and will break into groups that will clean-up local surf fishing areas. For more info or to volunteer PM me. - DZ Dennis Zambrotta
