Was out the other night with a few guys and we were talking about this past summer [if thats what we want to call it] well anyway, two guys said that they spoke to old timers who said the last time they experienced a summer like this past one was the summer of 38.
Regardless, man are we due or what.

Yup, I've heard that too from older friends and family - hope it's just a co-inky-dink...

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
