50 Ways To Kill A Plover!!!
Driving home from M & D's this am and on 105.7 they had a parody song called "50 Ways To Kill A Plover" sung to the tune of Paul Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover"!!!! I almost drove off the highway it was so funny!!! Anyone else heard this song yet?? I wish I knew how to link as I am sure they have it on their website!! Maybe one of you skilled fellas can link it on here??

yeah it makes me laugh.. I got no beef with Plovers... they are only a pawn in a much larger chess game..

now ... Seals... .... that is a whole other story...

Saw some pictures last weekend.. Stripers.. big ones... all on top...sand eels boiling out of the water... these stripers were 30-40 pound class easy..
pictures were taken las summer... about 5 miles out (ya know...where ya not supposed to catch them).. the two brothers that showed me the pics
said they were marking fish there all summer, and big stuff..
and not a seal to be seen....

so it's junk science.. but... I still say the seals are a big factor in keeping the stripers and bait offshore...by hanging around inshore...the rat bastages...

beaches are eroding so fast the Plovers are gonna be almost a non issue..until they start nesting on HIGH dollar Real Estate...and some rich summer aholes mansion/cottage will be impacted by a "don't use your private beach" order...
now That... will be interesting...

ah... sorry for the rant...

and I'll look for the Paul Simon covertune....
