Recreation Lobsta Permit Renewal

Just almost renewed mine online when there is a $3 administrative charge. wtf

Online should be the better cheaper snail main free paperless whatever way to do it.

Yeah I know I sound cheap but I'll spent 0.44cents before $3

Done with this rant......

It's just the state's way of wringing money from every pore they can.
They have pissed away millions and need to balance their books any way they can.
Did I say "balance"? I meant "cook"

I didn't recall an extra fee when doing your drivers license and car registration online?

Extra fee just went into effect: 2010. Did you register/driver license this year?

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

always wanted to get a rec. lobster permit, but I just figured the commercial guys will empty my pots, and I'll just end up thinking I'm a bad lobsterman...

Don't lay your gear over theirs and they wont bother you. Its the weekend warriors and drunks that think they can help check your gear for you. If you are worried about it ziptie the traps closed with a pink zip tie and if it is gone you know someone went in.

Always amazed me that folks think that comm. lobstermen hang around waiting for recs. to set there gear so they can poach them....Worry more about other recs. and folks fun fin fishing at nite.........The further you set your gear from the mouth of the harbor and/or mooring area, the less likely you are to be poached.......

I would think they would mess with them out of anger that I set my pots in a manner that is improper etiquette due to lack of knowledge... like too close, over, etc... I assume there's no handbook to "rules of the road", but I'm sure theres a 100 ways to screw up and piss someone off by mistake, understandably... I was in no way slighting commercial fisherman... just saying that its easy to step on their toes due to lack of knowledge and spot/distance etiquette

Its because the guys poaching might have black or white zip ties on there boat and they can just replace your black or white zip tie and your none the wiser.........but they probably don't have pink zip ties on board.......unless their from ptown.......

Exactly. Maddmatt I'm sure when you are done poaching you'll put a pink tie back on the trap.
