Garmin AC PC Adaper

Hi Guys,

Need to update the software in a backup GPS. A Garmin GPS152

Need a 010-10275-00 A/C-PC cable. They want $60 and then my computers don't have a 9 pin comm RS232 port.......so a USB to 9 pin adapter is another $60 thou any adapter should work I think from a computer store for like $10.

Let me know if you have one I can borrow....say in exchange for some live mackeral live lining in about 2-3 weeks in a certain river.....

Thanks, Jon

If you search the product no., you can find the cable for $38 and change (Amazon).

I have a USB-to-9 pin serial adapter you can borrow.

Thanks buzz,

That is a better deal than ebay, and way better than the Garmin site, but that is expected.

The only thing I can't see in the pictures in the gender of the 9 pin plug. The adapters I see like the one you probably have are usb to male 9 pin. That means the cable I am looking for should be a female.

Jeez it's blowin a snoot out right now.....

You can probably tell I am not too computer savy with my cables and adapters...

male is usually what is standard (I think) on back of the the computer so the GPS should be the mate. The converter is also male as it substitutes for the standard computer (sexual) orientation.
