1st Schoolie
got my first schoolie of the season today. caught on a yellow shad body on a 1/2 oz jighead in wicked murky water at a spot. was 1 of 2 fish caught. you can thank my dad for his wonderful photography, he didnt know how to use the camera.

the release, o yeah and it won me $5 for a bet with my dad for 1st fish. 3 yrs in a row.

hahaha. u won a bet from ur pop. that's a nice fish, man. how do u manage to cast a jig in a surrounding like bush and twigs around u?
anyway, i want to compliment on ur 1st schoolie catch.

i was using my freshwater gear around those bushes so wasnt really a problem casting. rods pretty short and there was enough room behind me.
that was definitly a holdover, last year at this time i was catching plenty covered with sea lice, this one had nothing. that place is fresh water too.
