Is O.D. Mike the new Beachmaster?

While fishing with Fishbones on Mother's day morning I was outfished 5:1. I must admit it was very frustrating watching seven landed fish from my buddy before even producing a strike.

I asked him what that brutally hot lure was and it turned out to be someone from the sight. O.D. Mike produced this beatiful slender spook that the Stripers just couldn't resist!

Hats off to both Fishbones and O.D. Mike!

P.S. Mike I want one!

Here's a pic of it. I told Mike I was gonna test it out for him because he's been very generous with getting his plugs in my hands. He also puts in a lot of time building and sharing ideas and tips with others, so I was happy to get some fish on it. The funny thing was that I tried a few other plugs and they were getting swirls and some bumps, but no hook ups. For some reason they really liked that particular plug. I ended up with 10 fish in about 3 hours on it and none on anything else.

Fishbones caught fish? Whenever I fish with him he just puts his hands and his pockets and watches me cast?

I was only watching you cast because I've never seen anyone using a push button Zebco reel at the Canal. By the way, I stopped fishing that morning after I caught a fish and was ready to go. It was about 40 degrees and pouring rain with 20 mph winds.

Yes.
Jim, that fish pictured is a Striped Bass (albeit a small one) that you have heard so much about. Now you have seen one, go catch one.

Thanks everyone!!!

If anyone got a spook from Plugfest this year from, myself, PRBuzz, Johnny D or Fishbones, you got one! I only made enough for plugfest. I will get back to turning tonight!

Dennis, the frogtape lure is a large canal special.

Bart, almost done with your swimmers!

What color Drew?

I would be crazy if I didn't request a clone in color to fishboners plug as well. Considering I usually out-fish the fish boner 10 to1!

I think I gave all mine away at PlugFest!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.
