Hey FW, we slayed them last night and the same couple was there enjoying it with myself and friend Pete. It was intense from about 6:30 until I was whipped at 8:30, non stop blues from 8-12 lbs. It was commical at times with 4 of us lined up and all trying to figure out what to do with 4 hookups at the same time. I'd go down again tonight, but I think I better have diner and see the family for a night .

FW, you know how your season is kinda broken down into several events... events that kinda benchmark your season.
Early season schoolies at the cape, then the blues, then you settle into your grove up here in boston harbor... finally, wrap things up in MV... for me, its Nantucket.
Hitting those blues is probably my favorite "one time" event for its unmatched savage topwater action. Bass are my favorite, but this is something a little different that I look forward to each year. Your out there isolated on the flat, gettin' soaked, gettin' beat up by the fish... its just awesome.
I only need to do it once, but I need to do it...
Man, I'm gonna miss it this year. Goin' away this weekend and in general, have pretty limited flexibility during the week, so its just not gonna happen.
I'm not whining 'cause this weekend has some other potential for me (to be eloborated on later), and I'll get plenty of fishing in, but it just tweaks the stomach a bit.
GS, I even got a new rain top and wader belt to keep myself from a situation like last year. 50 degree water over the back every few waves.

I had my first day fishing yesterday and I'm proud to say I caught my first keeper of the season. BigFish was my guide and my savior. I could not have done it without him I caught a total of 7 bass. It was so much fun with the exception of a few injuries
Thanks BigFish for a great day!!!

Angie,
your humility is admirable. We all know who is the fish magnet and who is the Sea Monkey in that house.
Sorry to hear about your hand.

BasicPatrick, I understand your hands smell of nothing but
herring. Just kidding BP, all in good fun. If I am going
to take your goodhearted ribbing all season, you are gonna get
as good as you give. I really want to get out fishing
with you, possibly throw some plugs or even herring Wednesday
evening. Give me a call And guess what, I found a whole bunch of new smilies that I did not realize were there. Silly me. Later.
