Ode to 2011 Fall Run
Ode to the 2011 Fall Run
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All minsy were the borogroves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird and shun
The Frumious Bandersnatch!"
"And has thou slain the Jaberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
I chortled in my joy.

The fall run was at the top of the tide in the dark for the last 30 days. The fish are getting smarter and don't show themselves in the day time like they use to. Is the rain going to stop because we getting water logged down at the beach.

This is Jabberwocky from Lewis Carrol (from "Through the Looking Glass"?)
My Fall run was not really there (as my firstborn joined us on 9/9). I got one day in at Nahant (did ok, but only had like 2 hours before I had to go home) and then 2 crappy days at the Cape on Columbus Day weekend.
