Having dump truck it a great thing.
Although its work getting out and having to drop the tailgate then walk all the way back to the cab and push the button to make the dump go up and down.
Haha

Man I could use something like that, some times unloading a 150 gallon hot water tank can put a strain on your back

Not sure why, especially with this economy but price of steel and other metals is through the roof.
Junk cars are paying 300-500 depending on their weight.

Metals are paying very well, scrap iron pending on quality can pay up $260 a ton, copper type I around $2.5 per pound, brass about $1.5 per pound and clean copper/aluminum radiators around $1.5 per pound.

Every now and then I'll cash in every little bit helps with the bills.

China is buying all the scrap steel.
I'm surprised the junk yard owner isn't savvy enough to sell the scrap himself. I guess some dis-assembly is required.

5/0.......I know Allied is convenient...........Miller's in Mansfield, 3.20 for #1, 3.05 for #2, and 2.80 for plumbing brass. Stateline(new owners) in Attleboro even more. And on the dock in Chelsea, 30/ 40 cents a # more.

Ronnie.......I have a dumptruck.........will be running it up and down Shears St a dozen times tomorrow. Hauling stone for a septic and foundation stone on Forestgrove Ave(behind the Tavern).
