i read alot about the storm rubber shads

is there a particular way to fish them like near the bottom reel em in fast slow etc! i have been useing them for awhile now and nothing has even bumped em im wondering if i am fishing them the right way alot of people swear by them so i know they work any tips !!!

I fish them in several different fashions. I have had success throwing them into breaking fish and letting them sink through the little guys down to bigger fish and slowly twitching them. Sometimes when there is nothing visible on the surface, I will drift with the tide or wind across flooded tidal flats letting the storm bait bounce along the bottom. I have trolled them through shallow channels formed during low tide between exposed flats. Sometimes I will just throw them into rips and let them float through. They have been very successful for me and I keep finding new ways to fish them.

I am due to be laid-off later this week. If your coming to the Plymouth area maybe we can hook-up and I'll show you around the striper hotspots. I should be free.

I fished em' for the first time yesterday and got some bumps by "drifting" (Breechway) and twitching em'. I could swear I had one on but lost it in the rocks.

there is no wrong way to fish a plastic shad, fast, slow, jigging, slow rolling, bouncing the bottom( My personal favorite) They all work at different times so long as the fish are hungry. Just yesterday I must have hit a big striper right in the head with a 6" wildeye and it took off about 50' of line before I could set the hook. lost the fish at the boat, hook just popped out. they work so put more time in and I think you will be suprised.

I use them too, but haven't gotten a nudge one one yet.
Had a bunch of breaking fish in front of me last nite, I threw everything but rappin mikey at them...no luck. Mucho mucho sargassum weed in the watter.

I had good luck with freshwater bass on the 2 inch versions in Florida back in April. Haven't used them much for stripers yet.

Rick was that at WDB? My buddy was there last night but not me.
He said it was like a mill pond and weedy off the jetty. Plenty of people trying off the beach but no hookups that he saw. Need a good SW wind.

I walked to the pond opening the other day...passed 13 fisherman on the way...8 of them were fishing storms. I figured I better give them a try. Yesterday I caught 3 bass with them (28, 30,31 inches). They don't cast like a habs but they sure look real in the water.
I have a couple in the bag now.


Fishing them slowly seem to work for me.

I love them wild eyes! My favorite way to fish them is in the river, drifting them when the current is ripping. I locate the fish with my fish finder and bounce them along bottom. Most of the time if you are not on bottom the fish do not hit it. 6" is my favorite size.

The Storm Wildeye is probably my go-to lure these days, and I got my first keepers of the year on Friday with the 5'' model. Almost any retrieve outside of cranking that bastard as fast as you possibly can will catch. I've found that a slow constant reel or bouncing it off the bottom work best for me.

Work Nice, reel just a liitle faster than the drift, fish them right on the bottom. They look nice in the water wiggle and roll

I have used tiny pieces of my own flesh for shark bait on numerous occasions. I have had especially good luck chunking my own brain.

I used the 4" WildEye this weekend and caught three schoolies.

I agree with the fellow that said slow and constant seemed to work best. At least it did for me.

I fished the Wild Eye blue shad, it was probably 3-4 inch, around West Dennis last Thurs. to Sat. with good success on schoolies. Of course I have to add, and I know it was posted a long time ago, that you have to remember to take the black plastic tube off the hook or you're going to find yourself getting really frustrated why you're so many fish are getting off the hook.

Latley I have been using the 9" bunker color. Bouncing it or just steady retrieve if there is something there they hit it.
