Looking for general info on Narragansett Bay?

My workload lightened for the upcoming week, and I heard from a charter captain who fishes in the upper bay, that he has some weekday openings, I was thinking of taking my kid fishing in the bay this week. If anyone can report (or PM) any info on whether or not the action is still decent, it would be much appreciated.

Yup... Me and my son hooked a few this morning in the 20# range (boat).

The wind made it a bit difficult to stay on the fish, but managed to back into the wind against the tide, to maintain enough to salvage an enjoyable day on the water with my son.

Thanks Nebe and Cool Beans...any excuse for me and my six year-old to play hookey together, and I have never gotten in on the spring flurry that seems to occur in Narragansett Bay some years...

It will be good until ArcBait vacuums it clean. As soon as they arrive the fishing drys up fast.

That may be the case but they cannot go into EG Bay, Wickford Cove or north of Conimicut Light so screw em, I can find pogies a lot of places. They don't have a corner on the market.

No boat, back in the suds.
