scup & small blues big pain

6-25-03 went last night fishing for stripers doing good the night befor i buy 2 boxes of squid withen 2 hours both boxes
empty . Those pain in the axss blues just had to show up then
the scup had to join in on the taking . Using a bass hook the blues could just get the hook in there mouth and the scup they just took what the wanted off the hook a friend at work was telling me to
use the scup for bait the stripers will go after that i never hered of that does anyone know if there is any truth to that

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work

its fun for the whole family too

neat trick is balloons and clothespins

set em up so they can only go so deep with the balloon

when the balloon freaks out then pops off... you got yourself a fish (when the balloon pops off... the line is completely free of any weight... neat trick for it... dosen't spook the fish at all)

(go get your balloon after... don't pollute)

Big thing to do when live lining scup is to hack off the dorsal fins. Stripers don't seem to like to eat them with those spines sticking up.
