Fixing stick shads ?
A few of my heavy stick shads internal weights have become dislodged. My quick idea was to make a small hole in the top, use expansion foam and seal with epoxy.
Any one got a better suggestion ?

I have not seen or had that problem, I usually lose them before they even get waterlogged from splitting. I see what you are trying to accomplish but even after three coats of epoxy to waterproof the hole you make, there may still be or get cracks so water gets in and soaks the foam. Don't use regular expanding foam, use the kind for around windows but you probably know that. Is there a way to just drill in the area where the weight is loose and stick it in place with epoxy forced thru a hole you drill? maybe that will screw up the balance also. I think they are pretty weight sensitive. Maybe drill a 1/16" hole thru the plastic right thru the weight and into the other side then stick a wire like plug wiring wire thru it all pinning it in place.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

I tried a bit on u tube to no avail.
Shads are not cracked, just the weights are dislodged.
Probably will just make a hole in the top middle and use expansion foam. Then some marine epoxy to seal the hole.

Place a magnet taped to the outside to hold the internal weight in place prior to the foam

Sebile had the surf and sun edition (not sure if they still do)with foam and no rattle and a bigger price tag. Those things sucked!
