While the event has grown by leaps and bounds since our first show four years ago, at the heart of the event is share the extensive wealth of knowledge and experience of the members of the Connecticut Surfcasters Association with our fellow surf fishing enthusiasts. To this end we have some excellent topics which will be covered by several members of the CSA as well as a special seminar by Dave Anderson. Copies of the schedule will be posted around the venue and we have a separate room dedicated for the seminars this year.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: CSA Member Joe D'Agostino - Rigging Eels & Soft Plastics on Jigheads
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: CSA Member Matt LeJeune - How to Finish a Plug Kit
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: CSA Member Pat Vogt - Weakfish Tactics
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Dave Anderson - Plug Fishing Logic
1:45 PM – 2:15 PM: CSA Member Ian Skillings - Installing Grip Studs in Wading Boots
CSA club members Mike Mullen and Billy DeLizio will be doing ongoing demos throughout the day at their table regarding different techniques for crafting wooden fishing lures on a lathe.
CSA club members Bill and Debbie Goeben will be doing ongoing demos throughout the day on the finer points of saltwater fly tying.

The weather for the show tomorrow is looking a bit iffy at this point with some snow/sleet predicted to move through the region throughout the day. At this time we have plans to proceed with the show. That being said, as we are using a town facility for the show they have their own rules regarding inclement weather which we must follow. In the event of any sort of modifications to the event please keep an eye to this thread and the CSA Facebook page for the most current updates. Again, at this time we are a go and the event promises to be awesome!

Just a quick update, at this point we are still a go with the show. While the inland parts of the state received a decent amount of snow, the coast didn’t get hit all that bad and it is expected to change over to rain soon. We encourage everyone to use their best judgment when deciding whether or not to attend and please take it slow if you do plan on attending today.

The Connecticut Surfcasters Association would like to thank the 200 or so brave souls who journeyed from near and far for the show today. As always it was great to see old friends and to make new ones.
A big thank you goes out to all of the vendors who traveled to the show in the inclement weather and made it a great day. For those vendors and friends who could not make it, we look forward to seeing you next year. We all know the decision to attend or not was a difficult one, as was the decision by our Executive Board to move forward with the show.
Great job today by all of the presenters, the very informative and timely seminars were well attended and top notch.
A special thank you goes out to all of the CSA members who donated time, labor, food and assistance to make the day the success that it was. See you all next year!
