Perseids 2016
Peak viewing August 11-12. But good viewing now. Just saw half a dozen in less than ten minutes. And it is not peak hour of the night. Gets better after moon sets around 0100. Nice and warm out there right now. Get the family out for a look!

Seen quite a few toward the SE sky the last few times out casting. Nice way to pass the time between bites which have been rather plentiful for August.

I see shooting stars 9 out of 10 trips all year season.
They have been better this past week, especially on the cape beaches, looks of sky watching why surf sharking the beaches

Saw some great ones this past week in Lake Placid, but actually saw more satellites swing by than shooting stars most nights. Amazing the number of stars up there.

Was in NH this week on a little vaca. Lots of meteors the last couple nights but tonight should be insane. It's crazy the amount of satellites up there. We also saw the space station zip by
