Caught one last evening.Always a nice surprise to catch something different.

I will try to jig up some to live line for stripers.
One of the best free baits around (after squid, macks and pogies)!

We use to catch them in the Fall in Galilee and liveline them of the short wall. KILLER!!!!!

I think shad are mostly just catch and release now. So no possession for live lining........

pretty sure that's american shad, not hicks...last i checked it was 6 fish daily limit for hicks...
