where can i buy tautog near narragansett?
I’ll be in Pt Judith tomorrow for the day. my parents have been asking me about my blackfish stew, using crafty anglers recipe i got here.
any seafood markets down there that might carry blackfish? i can make some calls, but thought someone here might know.

Several local markets - unsure if they will have Tautog
Best to make those calls

You might try Champlin’s in Galilee. Call first, still a little early in the season.

I’ve never seen blackfish in a market. Just use any firm fleshed white fish and you’ll be fine.

I have heard there is a significant market for it in Asian communities.....particularly when sold live.

Very popular in Asian restaurants kept live in NYC. Commercial Limit in RI is ten fish per boat per day, so they are in short supply.
