Weekend Plans
Might be a nice weekend. Anniversary with the bride so some whole belly clams will be procured.
So what's up for the weekend?

Spent a full day washing everything inside the gunnels on my 20' center console, loading it up with gear and 27 gallons of fuel with Jerry jugs. Had brother back it down the ramp and I am in the water for a "full" season for the first time since 2018... Not without a few hiccups and omissions after three years. Like, the VHF ground wire was not connected, and tool kit was extremely depleted... as in no phillips head to open the dash. Which I need to see where the wire goes... And I had not packed the handheld... Didn't have keys to lock up so brought GPS and ignition keys home instead of leaving locked onboard. I had cleaned a vertical inspection port so well that the O-ring no longer holds it in place... Stereo lights up and seems to "function" but no sound, so maybe speakers are shot after 20 plus years. Truth be told, I never play CDs or radio, so not a big deal. But any replacement will only be to receive Sirius Xm, so will research that.
But it is in! Fell asleep around 8pm.
Charity "pursuit" race with silent auction today, benefitting friends' daughter who was shot in attempted murder suicide last November. Got an invite on a huge catamaran...

We have browns like that over here, including in the rapids in the city center, but that's a really impressive one for the Northeast.
Wild trout caught in pristine waters have a way different taste than stockies caught in a Cape kettle pond.
