My friend Chris Brady and I have been refinishing the entire kitchen. Painting 5 or 6 hours everyday. We will finish this week end. I have 23 cabinent doors with black antique strap hinges. Everyone has to come off and be repainted.

No boat, back in the suds.

Cleared out table and armoir that serves as my "catch-all" for handy house tools as well as hats and gloves. Prep/scratch tile and primer. Tile sub laid it out and grout finished up this morning. Walls have been repainted this afternoon but no pic of that yet. She has wanted to cover up that 70's tile for a number of years....

I've been enjoying my kids with the soccer thing more than when I played but crushes me they have no interest in hockey as besides fishing hockey is what makes me tick. But I guess better than freezin in a rink
Makes me sad that unlike you, my parents have taken little interest in my kids sports like they have with my nieces and nephews, esp with my daughters soccer accomplishments this year. It is their loss missing out on something special as you have found

year I have a couple that hurt inside .

My parents never saw my play any sports , yes I could play sports .

but my mother would go in the back an play catch with me .

then I had had a son .he payed sports & I seldom missed a game .
fishing .he liked freshwater because he could see the wildlife & he was good at fishing /now he lived on a river & never takes the rods out of the basement .
I got him into commercial fishing when he was a reenager . by the time he was around 18ish .he would crawl to the boat go into the cabin an sleep to around ten .he knew qutiing time was noon ......SOB .. he had a close to days pay in a couple of hours .. if I had to stay lohger to fill a lorder .he went back in the cabin ////// saltwater he fished maybe 10 times .......... I failed on that way .
then my daughter had to son s ..........thet never dug .even my had in the water / they thought it was punishment I must have given them tons of fishing gear .must have sold it for grass ... tme seahunt is 34 years old / omr esd in it once & the other twice & once for a fishing merit badge ...........sometimes I feel I failed on that end .....................&& all those out of straight tournaments I lost pay to watched them ...it hurts because they no not what thev have missed

Kids are going to be kids, today(and when your kids were young) that means video games and anything outside of being outside.

You can't change them on that. I'd ask Liam if he'd want to fish upcoming weekend - he'd be all YES! Then his enthusiasm waned as the day approached, and he'd play video games instead. Tore my heart out.

We did get out some times but it was a tenth of what I hoped for
