Question gluing a ferrule

I am planning a new rod project for this winter and will need to glue the ferrule on a 2-piece rod. My question is what do people think the best adhesive would be for this application. The rod will be built spinning and used for throwing heavy plugs and jigs.

The ferrule will not be centered, but will be in the lower third of the rod.

Is the product marketed as Rod Bond the way to go or some other high shear strength epoxy?

Thanks

I would use rod bond. However , I wouldn't buy a blank that didn't have a built in spigot ferrel. you just have to thread wrap them.
