Some inspireation for Jenn

OK, maybe this brew Newbie can fire you up...

here's a picture of brew day... getting ready to fire up they bayou classic..

fat tire clone in the pot on boil..

fermenter time

I built a chiller so I can control fermentation temp and secondary temp, it has 4 individually controlled zones with their own DC pump.. the water temp is maintained at 35 degrees..

so.. the fruits of my labor.. the biscuit malt in this recipe really comes through … this is a nice refreshing summer ale.. goes good with fresh caught lobsters!

my redneck chiller... an external pump circulates the water in the cooler through a 1/10 hp chiller( my prototype had an internal pump that was counter productive because it gave off too much heat)... the whole set up costs less then $600 to build including the 3 inkbird controllers ( the 4th controller protects the compressor from freeze up)... I use the brew built cool stix in the carboys and the clear fermenter ( which I wrap with foil covered poly insulation).. the grain father fermenter has its own control but still uses the designated pump in the chiller ( cooler).. I can chill down to about 38 degrees with an ambient temp in the shop of 75 right now.. Note: that is a home made lobster and roasted red pepper pizza...

Thanks Jenn, I still have alot to learn
I still need to take some pictures of my bottle wash and botteling station
Went to a local home brew store today, left with a lighter wallet and the ingredients for a super IPA... got a deal in a 200ml beaker, $10..it had funny swirl in the glass... I'll be using it to make starters.
