In my years of boats and boating, as my boats got lighter, the ride worsened considerably.

Now lighten the hull and put some of the weight back as battery and have your gas engine charge battery and your batteries run propulsion / accessories.

I completely understand what you're saying John and have tried many options. It just seems that the lighter all composite core boats within the smaller class (ie; 20') tend to just skip and bounce on top of the chop instead of cutting through it like many of my older boats did. Of course like everything, there are trade offs for every little aspect.
