Word of Warning

When you use a sharpie to detail your plugs DON'T spray over it w/ Envirotex in the Spraycan.

I was making these Mackerel plugs, put some lines on them w/ a black sharpie....they looked pissah. When I sprayed the envirotex on them to put a scuff coat on them all of the Sharpie ran. Lines look like $h&t now........

Live and learn I guess...but I'm still bummed out.

TDF put a coat of Minwax Polycrilic over the plug first. Let it dry over night, and scuff then enviro.

Look on the bright side, now that you've had some practice doing the mackeral pattern, the next batch will look even better Another thing to try, most craft stores sell those pens that use india ink, pick up one of those and a few tips of different sizes. Use the same createx paint that you use on your plugs as ink and draw all you want. The paint is the same so you know there will be no incompatability issues. You can use the same pens to sign your plugs too.

Or, while the clear coat is still tacky, you drop it on the carpet where it picks up all kinds of lint, dog fur, and who knows what else Takes a few fish to knock the fuzz off those ones
