Why can't I catch a tuna?

After getting back from my 6th trip of the year and not hooking up to a fish yet I am really beginning to wonder if I'm doing something horribly wrong? I always see fish and am more or less in the game and most of the time have live baits (only macks this year so far). I've tried casting, jigging, trolling, kite, balloons, weights. After two solid years of trying and not even hooking up it is getting really old. Anyone have any advice for an experienced novice?
Thanks in advance!

Keep pushing through, you're number will get called. Took us two years to finally land one - had a couple hook ups during that time that were definitely the result of dumb luck.

I'd be willing to try fishing naked if that will do the trick!
