UK Drafts Ales

I am on a 10 day trip in the UK. Started in London, and visiting, Birmingham, Cotswolds, Peak District , and the Lakes District in the North.

I have been enjoying local cask beer at every pub I have visited. In the UK a pub is either privately owned and can serve any beers they want or owned by a brewery and serve only that breweries beers/ales.

I was at the Bull's Head in Ashwood on the Water (a trout river) which is owned by Robinson's Brewery outside of Manchester. They have 3 cask beers on tap as shown by this picture as well as several standard draft beers (Perroni, Guinness, Stella Artois, and Carling. I sampled 2 of the cask beers: Unicorn Ale, and Elbow. Both were excellent... very smooth and plenty of flavor with a nice smooth head.

I did not find the Iron maiden yet.... where did you find it...

here are two more pics of pubs that had 3 or 4 cask ales on tap. I have liked every one I have tried... some hoppier than others and all very smooth.

1st pic is from the Three Shires Pub in Little Langdale near Ambleside (best pub I have every been too) ... 2nd pub is in Oxford and the bartender looked a lot like Harry Potter.... he did have a hot girl hitting on him when I was there so his "look" apparently works in the UK
