And the reality is Notaro:
Current wind speeds throughout the area, right now:
20-25 kts out of the WSW.
Friday looks to be calm with the potential for a Small Craft to Gale on Saturday.
Use www.wunderground.com
Type in the local info in the "Fast Forecast" box.
Use the marine forecast from there.
I can provide you with the local bouy info if you would like. They are available at the Noaa site here:
www.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/Northeast.shtml
Remember that the Buzzards bay anemometer is 15+ meters off the water. But it doesn't mean it is a LOT less windy on the surface.
 Fish well

Correction:
24.8 meters of the water ! That's 80 ft.
Still there will be similar readings near the surface.
Otis AFB has a weather link as well but you have to pay for it. I have access through a widsurfing weather link.
It gives current conditions at that spot on the canal with a cam.

Notaro,
I have to run now so I can't get right back to you immediately but where are you fishing tommorrow ?
To put weather and wind into perspective:
The land forecats for Sat. in SE MA is 10-15 out of the NE. The MARINE inshore is the same with potential for higher gusts. Underline potential. The Offshore forecast (which is me) is 15-25 out of the North with the potential for higher gusts.
It is all a forecast but remember to check and keep checking the updates. It is what we have to do so we don't become a stat.
Have a great weekend and if the breeze comes up, PUT A LIFE JACKET ON. I know they are a bit gay but, believe me, when I fish Great Point and it is ripping. I wear mine for sure .
Ciao

I guess that means it should be shutting down out here pretty soon. Heading out for a sunset fish.
Last night was solid 28-36" Fatty bass. These dogs are very well fed this year
Thinking about going deeper with some bait tonight

I lost...
Hey guys, the wind was very cooperative with me last weekend. I got SKUNKED. I almost got some fish last Saturday with mackerel chunks. I lost two of my lures on the east, atom mack color popper and one 3 oz kastmaster w/ a green tube tail.
