Angry Weekend report

Fished Sunday 2am - 7am in So. County. Caught one schoolie at Deep Hole. That's it. Surf and wind were good. Not sure whats going on.
But I did get some BIG news Saturday morning from my wife.... Baby #2 on the way!!!!
So looks like I wont be fishing much next season...

Question....were any of you fishing on the other side of Deep Hole (towards east matunuck beach), off a rocky point, there were two trucks, one was a red or maroon dodge durango (or like it) with a Van Staal sticker on it? I stood on the ledge and watched you plug for a few minutes @ 7:00am Sunday. If that happens to be any of you , can you PM me? I have a few questions for you about that spot..THANKS~~~

I've fished there a few times and am always left baffled. Maybe I need to go there with an old salty who's fished it for a while....

Wow, another awesome W/E in RI!! Pickup to after the storms to what it was 2 weeks ago, in short lots o fish.
Thurs. started off slow with a pick of fish and mix of bass and blues. Came back up Fri. and had an incredible evening, TONS of stripers (40-45) throughout the night and only a couple guys out there to share it with. Perfect!
Saturday, was more the same except everywhere I went it was mobbed. Fished off to the side and caught well with some better fish for size. I pays to keep off from the crowds sometimes. Easterly winds made it tough at times, esp. since bass were on smaller lures. It was hard to feel them working at times.

I will certainly be up during the week, and possibly take a couple Vacation days to beat the weekend crowds, as nows the time to be out there

If you go to the SK town hall and ask for the blue book on public access and pond management, you'll find that the area between Deep Hole and East Matunuck State Beach is publin not private as posted. Also, the small area at the end of the road on the ocean side is town owned but lined with rocks so no one can park there. Another violation of the law.
