Weird Fish

OK, so I'm bored and underworked at work today and see ing what kind of internet searches I can do that won't set off any alarms in my IT department. I found an article on a weird fish called the oarfish. Supposed to be the largest growing marine fish. Anyone heard of it before? As usual, I hope this link works:

They had a show on The Discovery Channel, or The Learning Channel that was exploring the possibility of seeing a giant squid alive in it;s natural environment, and they showed an oarfish that was at least 25 feet long (maybe longer).
It seems that they are a deep water fish that we only see at the coast when they are dying and the currents push them onto the beach. It amazes me that fish species that we never knew existed can be swimming under you boat.
Remember the ceolocanth? A fish that was supposed to be extinct? Well, they found schools of these prehistoric fish in the oceans of the orient.
What a world!!!

Actually the first one was landed in a fishermans net off the coast of Spain.

I landed the second one when I met my wifes mother.
