Talking All Star newest line of rods " BEN DOERR"

That’s right BEN DOERR I don't know what happened between St. Croix and Ben Doerr but All Star now has him designing their newest rods.
I saw 7 of the newest actions at the CT Trade show this past weekend. I must say they look good. They will come in spinning and conventional and sizes from 7'1pc to 11'2pc. that was about the only thing worth mentioning for the up coming new products for next year.

But the real question is, are the reel seats gonna crack at the joint?

Mike,

How does the Ben D. All Star , say @ the 10' length, differ from a Breakaway ? Is All Star doing all different blanks for the new line?

Here we go again - more new rods. Yeah!

the 10' is not as powerfull as the 100H rods it is more of a lure rod.

Good for Ben!!!

IMHO ST CROIX =

Over priced rods with lousy pac bay guides and lousy reel seats.

If you buy St. Croix you are paying for the fancy ads of guys standing on rocks and not fishing.

However, I should say that I rewrapped a st. croix blank with some quaility guides and I love it.

Great schoolie rod and it is the rod that I take down to North Carolina every year.

I love the breakaways, although I've seen a few with the wrong size guide near the tip.

St Croix made nice blanks--do they still offer blanks or do you have to buy a bendover and tear the crappy components off?
