AYC Cheap...anyone
I have a chance to get AYC cheap... the more I buy the cheaper it will be. I'm wondering if any of you guys would be interested in picking some up. I will get an exact price in a few days but it may go down if enough people buy enough wood. I can get it in 5/4 and 2X2 (milled so it's actually 1 3/4 X 1 3/4). I am buying it through a friend who owns a milling company and the price .should be unmatched. I can also get cypress and other woods I have been using cypress lately and I love it, it turns down beautifully and the weight/bouancy is very similiar. I figure I'll bring it to the plug get together for pick up. Shipping it would be too much of an expense I think. Let me know and I'll put the wheels in motion.

Yes, I am interested especially if the 2x2 is actually 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" because that is what I'm looking for. Most of the time 2x2 ends up being 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" so double check that ok?
Cypress sounds good too.
Can he get any air dried maple or pine?

Everything I have gotten has been clear and dry with the very occaisional small knot. This guy is very meticulous and only orders the best stuff available. As far as rough sawn goes... he said it usually comes milled but now that I see that there is significant interest I will look further into it.

I will have prices by Wed more likley Tue. Slip - The AYC is not available in 1 3/4 you were right it's 1 1/2. But the Cypress is available in that size and could even go to 2 if you want. As for the other types of wood, it would depend how much of them people wanted, small quantities cost more than large ones so speacial orders are not going to help out on cost.
