I'm all done..Cleaned up and put away most of the gear (I think I detected a smile coming over my wife's face).

Like BigFish said maybe a little trout fishing. Am thinking about trying some Smelt Fishing up in maine once this winter. Wouldn't exactly call it sport fishing.....But they are good eats.

Other than that I'll be trying to suck up as much info in the off-season to help improve My fishing when spring gets here.

I'm done. Been cleaning reels all weekend. Which brings up a question. When ya take apart a Squidder, where does the dog spring go? If I find the answer to this, I'll also know where the socks go after coming out of the dryer.
Luckily I have extras.(socks and dog springs )

I may sneek out for a jaunt to Charlestown on Thanksgiving day because it is only one hour drive from my daughter's house.

Good site. Still couldn't find the answer to where the damned things go though. I already had a couple extras anyways. Only lost one out of the three Squidders that I own.

Cool

Krispy - Short Beach has a lot of small fish if you're bored. First of the outgoing - there are some nice wadable bars and rips that form at the mouth of the Housy. Went there early this a.m. for chits and giggles.

Question

Ever catch a winter holdover near a hot water outflow of a power plant? Fish don't look terribly healthy, most of the fish I've taken in the winter are covered with white scaly curd.

Na... no power plant fish for me, I go all natural. Think about where i met you that day, thats close to where i hunt the elusive holdover bass. Also, its illegal in RI to keep a fish after dec 1st until april 1st so its all about catch and release for me.
