Angry Soooo...You Like Snow????

Then you are gonna get all you can shovel....or so they say! The stores are jammed with people stocking up for the big storm! I went down to Red Top to pick up a few Habs 2 oz. blurple needlefish plugs to get me through the weekend......and they were the only thing that sold faster than shovels! Just kidding...I am gonna find shovels today easier than I will find a Habs needlefish. All reports say we are gonna get blasted, the snow fall totals are rising by the hour! I guess I will just hunker down and spend the weekend on S-B.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Just you wait, the best is yet to come. We got an easy 5-6" fluffy and pretty on top, wet and heavy on the bottom. Still coming down at a pretty good clip. Still no plows in sight, so the town must think we got more to come or they'd be clearing the secondary streets. Oh well, driveway's done for wave one, got a fire roaring, Harpoon Winter Warmer and Sam Adams Winter Lager chilling in the garage and the cheesesteaks are done and warming on the oven waiting for my victim to chow down (oops, that was a thread from another forum!?!?).

Oh I HATE snow! Gonna be an interesting winter! Got the case 'o beer on the porch chillilng as we speak....one for each trip around the driveway with the snowblower! If it snows like they say it's supposed to, I may be twisted before it's over

pisrfcstr - Funny you mention mailmen and fishing.....mine saw all my fishing rags and asked me. He's big into striper fishing so we go every now and then. (not to mention I get my mail first now too)

Weird

Theres this blue heron hanging out at the waters edge in my backyard for the last couple weeks.
He just stands there, all day. Every day.
Now he's there tonight.
Whats he doing, standing there at night, in the middle of blizzard?

If he gets any closer, Ill have to kill him.

Whew, close call. Got about 5" and then it changed to rain. Now 40 deg and blowing 40+. They say the backdoor could give us more. I see the forecast for the mainland heading west and north is for quite a bit to fall.

What are some of the totals you folks have been seeing ?

Bread lines...

How come when ever it snows and you go to the store you see everyone buying as much as bread as they possibly can fit into a grocery cart? No peanut butter, no jam, no cold cuts, just bread??

Question

Steel I often think the same thing, I went grocery shoppin yesterday, and it was NUTS in there....I never panic...But people see the snow and think OH MY GOD!!!! we are going to be snowed in for a month...Hurry go buy bread and milk!!!

And then there are people like me who go out to do the NORMAL shoppin and have to fight with people for a dang loaf of bread....

I stood in line for almost an hour at the store...

Thank god for 4 wheel drive

Package store, ya wanna see busy? Man we love it, panic city, empties the shelves. I get 'em going too, keep the weather channel on loud, 'cause they hype it up, plus I tell them stuff like, better get plenty, gonna be a two bottle storm!
Plus, having a bread and milk store right next door, our lot is jammed, with a few flakes in the air.

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain........ .

to all who love snow. I love to ski and snowboard, etc. but hate it where I have to work. One main plow out here, that's it.

41 degrees and raining until the backdoor opens. Forecast is 2-4" with falling temps Sunday night.
