Brittany Wedding/Annulment

So I'm surprised no one in this group is talking about the Brittany Spears one day wedding/anullment. I think it's either a publicity stunt or the guy found out she's really a guy, too.

Jason Alexander...c'mon, man. Get real, they weren't a pair of childhood friends. I think it's a publicity stunt.

They got married at 5:30 A.M. in Las Vegas. If you are still up at 5:00 A.M. it means one of two things: amphetamines or hallucinigins!

seals + plovers =

You know how many people have shotgun weddings on a whim in Vegas every day? The media picks on Britney because she is a celebrity, but she's also a person just like us.

I don't think it was a shotgun wedding since no one was forcing them to wed at gunpoint, but I do think maybe they had taken some shots to the head (specifically the mouth), probably too many shots, and were not fully cognizant of what they were doing. I sort of wish when they went for the anullment they were told, "No, your incredible act of stupidity is not reason enough to waste the clerk's time backing out this transaction."

Maybe shotgun wedding isn't the right term to use. But what I thought it meant was when people just go do it without inviting the family and all that, not when they are forced to at gunpoint.

Regardless, what I am trying to say is that she is still a young person just like many of us. She got married on a whim just to screw around and do something crazy. I doubt they were ever serious about it. Many people probably do this and it's fine for them. The only problem is, she's a celebrity so everything she does will be over analyzed and she will be critized for every thing she does.

Lookin for my big'un!
