South Cape Report!!!

Hit the usual Haunts yesterday with a couple of really nice fellow's who were brushing up on some fishing skills.

Picked up about 50 bass yesterday, some were small "I mean very small 1/2 twinkies" LOL. But between dodging thunderstorms and wind twisting directions on us, we didn't pick up any blues. We had just gotten out on the bar, Baitcaster hooked up and dropped his and the other fellow had just gotten a chase when the wind went from SE to off shore and pushed the fish right out. SO we headed up to Onset area and picked up a few more micro's and called it a day. At least we had some fishies pulling the other way!!!

JohnR, see you this coming weekend, hopefully this weather will turn around.

ChrisL, Good to hear from you, things have been busy. Hope too hook up with ya soon.

SLipknot & Clammer, nice pictures guys, glad your getting into those bigger fishies!!!

Jenn, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??????

Spent all day yesterday moving 6 yards of loom and cow crap, because I'm moving my garden and making way for more grass (reads less weeding). Then dog tired, I made the mistake of picking up a circular saw to tip the tomato stakes. Had a bad kickback and I didn't quite clear my left arm...ouch. Luckily it was a nice new blade, clean 1/4" wide X 4 inch cut and maybe only lost the top 1/8 inch of skin and substuff...not much pain or blood. The worst of it was the 2 hours in the emergency room waiting for the 6-7 stitches.

By the looks of all the mackeral off Cohasset yesterday, along with a few nice fish and some larger seen; I'd say it's about to bust wide open up my way. I ordered a freezer today to replace the busted one and that's coming Thursday. I plan on filling up both livewells Saturday with Mackeral, which should get me through the year.

GS, Yikes! you are lucky it wasn't worse, don't ever ever have any body parts behind a circular saw and don't trust that the guards on those things snap back. I have personal experiance with the guard thing.
Don't worry John, he knows his way around a boat, just try and see if you can outfish him and you may have trouble being invited back

FW, I saw Clammers' pic. but there isn't any of me ??? must be a case of mistaken identity.

Saw an ad in This Old House magazine a few months back for a device that manufacturers can add to their bench saws...it's a sensor that can tell when somebody gets a finger, hand, etc in the blade & stops it in a nanosecond...showed a demo with a hot dog & dammed if it didn't kill the blade before it cut more than 1/64th" deep...just past the skin. Pretty nifty & they say a manufacturer can build it into the saw for around 200 bucks. Can't retro-fit them, though...I'm looking into it because all it takes is one mistake & zzzzztttt...
so long, finger.
