I'd post a picture, but burp.
Forgot to take a picture, but yum-yum. I release almost all my keepers, but keep the first one for the table today, a nice fat 13lb-32inch fish. I feel like a beached whale, except for the fact I know whales don't eat a lot of stripers, corn, salid or tatter-tots.
I wanted to get outside this morning and was actually 2 miles north of Scituate, honing in Smith Rocks with my Lowrance GPS (pea-soup), when my partner advised me he wasn't feeling well. Back to the harbor, back on the trailer and I assumed he would be ok if we headed for the North River. Was informed the stomach and head were beyond help, so I headed over solo, rather than attempt going outside again. Caught a bunch of 24 inch fish, two keeper size and a bunch of smaller schoolies. At high tide, I had fun with a mixed bag of fish that were way up a small feeder creek slurping down some sort of baitfish. This creek was just wide enough to turn my boat around in, but there was 8-10 foot of water in there and apparently a good supply of bait and schoolies. It was kind of fun winding the boat up that creek catching schoolies on a light spinning outfit.
Hope we get some better weather for next weekend...still want to load up on the mackeral. Although I don't see how I'm going to do that and fish the striped-bass tournament...hmmm.
