I seen the real thing.....gotta pass on that one! Kinda gonna be hard for it to be better than the original. Glad you enjoyed it though. I am not much for those hopped up, overdramatized productions.

I just saw it today with my family. Great movie. My daughter, 9 years old, really wanted to see it. I thought it was a very good movie. Well written and it didn't have too much boring stuff to lose interest. I also saw the real thing(not in person like Bigfish though) and I am glad I went to the movie. My best friend went to school with Jim Craig, he was playing goal out of his mind in that win over the Russians. Too bad Herb Brooks died last year before getting to see the movie, but like they said, he lived it
He really knew what he was doing.

Sorry Slip, I meant I saw it live like you did on the television. I did see some video of Herb Brooks on the set during filming though with Kurt Russell.....at least he knew they were making a movie.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I took 8 Cub Scouts to see ti today and they all loved it. I thought it was pretty good. Held my interest and the kids were mesmerized by it. My son even threw his hands in the air when time expired and the Russians lost.

Bigfish;
I think part of the reason it was made was because so many people today dont even know about it; I was about 1 when that was going on, but being a sports nut I still considered i one of the greatest sports movies of all time... I wouldn't dismiss seeing it, it was a good flick...
Not a fisheye flick, but still good...
'course it was 45 degrees sat, and VD, and all I wanted to do was go test swim some plugs

Good point RRH....I am sure it is a good take. Many of you have already seen it and given it the TU I will see it eventually I am sure. Good to see Kurt Russell back making movies at Disney.....remember the old days? Computer Worn Tennis Shoes and all those other great Disney/Kurt Russell movies?

I remember watching the game while my parents were buiding their house.
No cable, watching a B&W 13" tv on a chair while mom and dad wallpapered their dining room. Rappin Mikey was five years old and running around like a maniac once the US won.
Definately a formative moment for me.
Wasn't around when JFK was shot, so this is one of the "Where were you when..." moments for me.
Still gives me goosebumps...
