Weekend Fun

Left work early Friday , made my way to the Watertown run loaded up then fished Nut Island with my brother, his brother in law, friend , and my sister and her boyfriend. My brothers friend got one after thirty minutes on a live herring. This was his first time and he was excited. After measuring the fish , I thought it was 29, but I am not a finish carpenter. A guy on the peir asked me how big it was and I said 29" he gave me a weird look. About a minute later he was on the cell phone, and 10 minutes after that 3 game wardens show. They start grilling me and my brother's friend. I say listen if you want to see the fish just say so. I show her the fish and she measures it, "There is nothing wrong with this fish it's 30" " I say to her when you partner finishes with the ass that called, tell him I want an apology, and next time he should measure it before he calls". Any way we caught a 24" and let that one go of course. Then today the wife and I, my brother in law, and my parents went out on my friends boat and caught many over 30" and a 34" that was fat, it looked like it ate the neighbors cat. All in all not a bad weekend even though I could'nt make the cape saturday.

specialist,
I was @ Watertown on Friday, too (much earlier, though). You think those fish will be there next weekend, or is this pretty much it.
Later,
Rick

I think they will be there this weekend because a couple of weeks ago the river was super low, this kept the herring down river away from the ladder. On friday there were still plenty of fish moving up to the ladder. I will ptrobably try it on Wednesday night and/or Saturday night. Rick you live near the run don't you? If you do and you check it out during the week let me know if there are any. I live over in Quincy now its a longer ride for me. I will shoot you an email with my phone number.
