Q. For The Guys...Scrapin' Ya Face In The A.M.
Giving serious thought to getting one of those nifty Norelco electric shavers. I'm gettin sick of scraping my face with a blade...too much effort and too much time in the a.m. Anyone using an electric one? Any recommendations? Thanks.

I use one and ill never use a blade again. Best thing I ever got for christmass. I have had it for 7yrs now ( dont rember who made it ) and have not had razor burn or cut myself in all that time. Wait I take that back I use a straight blade when I am at civil war events and cut myself evry time Ill have to think about thatone.

Before ya spend the bucks, ya may want to consider something. Dr. Phil did a show on this very subject. Seems people who complain that it takes too much time to shave are often suffering from "I can't stand staring at my ugly mug first thing in the morning syndrome"
Ya might even be able to cure it by shaving at night, especially after a bunch of beers - it's the old "everything looks better at last call" effect.
Of course there are expensive surgical options as well.
The good Dr. of course, suggests that you look deep for your own inner beauty.
Just thought I'd help ya out there FWW

Well I stsrted to use one about 5 years ago and will never go back to blade!!At first it takes some getting use to. You have to condition your skin for it. They will tell you this in the manaul.
I had to use a razor about a year ago as we for got my razor at home when we went away. Thought I was Filting my skin off!!
I have a Remington Miro Screen 3 and love it!! But Ihave a soft beard not to stiff and shave about every 3rd day.
My buddy has Nelcro 3 blade rotry and has a much stiffer beard and shaves everyday. He says if you have a stiff beard get the rotory blades.
Last make sure you get one with a neck hair cutter on it!! This is the only thing I hate about mine!! I use the side burn cutter to get that area.

Mach 3 has my face screaming by Friday, so I only shave Mon-Thurs... Used to use a three headed Norelco but that gave me major razor rash on my neck and didn't get close at all on my face.
I still have the norelco since the best part of it is the trimmer.

If you go electric you have to shave often. They don't work good if the hair gets too long but do a good job if you shave every day or even every other. .

I use both.
The rechargable is good for those foggy morings when I'm on my way to work , scratch my face and realize I look like grizzly adams.
Keep the rechargeable in my bag and neaten up on the ride to work. Probably look gay to people driving by though...

best thing (imo)
is one of those shaving brushes and then use only soap and whatever cheapo razer but only after a shower as your face needs plenty of moisture before hand. All the shaving creams have terrible chemicals that irritate your face and that goes for the gel turn to foam types too like edge for example. A tri-blade
works well and doesnt make your face raw... then afterwards its best to close your facial pores with icy cold water which keeps out the pollutants in the air that your exposed to each day.
