Happy Fathers Day Boys
Hope your not stuck cutting grass, painting window trim or manning the grill; at least not right away. It's 3:30 am and I'm off to celebrate in the best way possibble, stripa fishing. Headed to the same waters I usually fish, with an old friend from Scituate. I'm hoping those damn pollack have moved north into Boston, which is highly likely because I did inform them that is were FW normally fishes .
Got's has got to go now, those striped fishies are calling me.

Happy Fathers Day to you too GS and anyone else. I hope you got into some fish today. Did you take your kids?
I didn't fish today, I went last night instead and finally jigged up some 20 pounders. The best one was 37" and 21 lbs.

Just a strange day and when you factor in the day I had with FW, I'm worried the numbers are way down from previous years. I struggled this morning to put maybe 20 fish in the boat, with the largest going maybe 27 inches. The day with FW was better for numbers and we both scored on a couple of 30+ inchers. Factor in low light fog, good tides for where I fish and the conditions couldn't get much better.
Normally for this time in June, I'd be slaying them, both numbers and keepers. My best day in recent years for this time in June was 62 fish and 4 keepers up around 15-20 lbs. Historically by now I'm averaging a minimum of 30-40 fish each day. I'm hoping things improve and some numbers move in. I know one thing, it's time to stock up the eel tank, because if I have to catch less; going to catch bigger.
Watching the rain coming down in buckets, while waiting to make my move to the house. Looks like I'm going to get drenched any way you look at it.
