Wading Shoes

Just picked up a pair of stockingfoot Orvis Silver Label breathables for those times when I'm on more rocks than sand.

What is mindboggling is how many wader boots are available (Chota, LL Bean, Orvis, Patagonia, Cabelas).

I have two questions:

When purchasing wading boots for use with stockingfoots, should you buy one size larger or are they cut big?

Many of the boots I looked at have these "Micro Screens" to let water drain out but it looks like sand can work its wasy in there too Are there any without this feature or is not a significant issue?

Thanks!
