Just wondering....

Did anyone happen to catch that show on the Discovery channel last night about the "supposed" chipanzee/human hybrid?
The chimp was actually considered a "sub-group" of chimps, but what struck me was that even though almost all chimps can be taught to walk upright, they don't prefer to do so because their hip joints aren't designed to walk that way. This particular chimp walked upright throughout most of it's life, until old age began to take it's toll. (I was thinking more on the lines of it being a genetic anomally.)

One part of the show that struck me as a good sticking point for strict regulations for genetic "research" was the display of a cross bred lion/tiger mix. The male was a lion an the female, a tiger.
The resulting offspring, a liger (lie-ger), was born sterile and as a mature animal was almost as big as a grizzly bear.

Now if they can cross breed a striper with, say, one of those monster Nile perch, or a tarpon, then it may have some merit.

I just thought the show was pretty interesting.

Life is like a poop sandwich, the more bread you've got, the less poop you taste.
