Flounder

Well, much to my surprise tonight i managed to catch a good sized flounder on the fly rod! Had to be close to 20inches long I would guess. Wasnt what I had in mind to be my first fly rod fish of the season but oh well! Caught him on a big ole' Rogers Big eye baitfish fly. I am not the expert and most experienced fly guy in the world but how often do you guys catch flounder on flies?! Certainly caught me off guard.

it's no fluke (pun intended). i catch them once in a while flyfishing for stripers, even at night, mostly while using weighted flies like clousers.
